So I pulled the trigger on a skillshare subscription(check it out if you want: https://skl.sh/3b2FA1H) and have been checking out the site and one great series I saw was by Thomas Frank and him speaking about how to an impossible list♦ and I really liked that concept. One way I want my readers to get to know me is to see what exactly is going through my mind when I tell you I want to accomplish things and hopefully you can get some insight into that from a list of everything I want to accomplish. So here is my impossible list:

Tech Related Goals:

  • Receive multiple Azure certifications
    • Why:
      • Currently I am employed at Microsoft and wish to push my career in a more technical route than I am in now. I believe Azure certs will help me move internally much more easily.
    • Which Ones(Ordered by priority):
      • AZ-103 Azure Administrator
      • AZ-500 Azure Security Technologies
      • AZ-300: Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies
      • AZ-301: Microsoft Azure Architect Design
      • AZ-400: Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions
  • Get my PgMp certification
    • Why:
      • I have been doing a lot of Program Management in my career but I have never really sat down to think about it in detail. I want to formalize my understanding of the Program Management world so I can better speak to actually Programs I have managed in terms a hiring manager would understand.
  • Complete all FreeCodeCamp.org curriculum
    • Why:
      • Although I have a CS degree I constantly feel lacking in my coding ability, so even though I know the fundamentals of how to write code, I always feel I need to start at the bottom and work my way up. I have started FreeCodeCamp’s curricula multiple times but have never completed one because I have never really dedicated the time to it.
    • Which Ones:
      • All of them
  • Become more Fluent in Python
    • Why: I have been really interested in algorithmic trading and I know one key skill I need to learn is python so that I can begin learning designing algorithmic trading programs.
  • Get multiple Security certs
    • Why:
      • CyberSec is something I enjoy doing and I know there are gaps in my knowledge base so I want to learn these skills and show I know them when I am pursuing more career options.
    • Which Ones:
      • OSCP
      • CISSP
      • CCSP
      • CISM
  • Consistently publish content on this blog
    • Reach a wide audience:
      • Reach 100 views by the end of this month. (Accomplished ~5/7/2020)
        • Thank you to everyone who read my posts, I know I set the bar low but I am still surprised that people were actually interested enough to click and read the blog!
      • Reach 10,000 views by years end(~6 months).
  • Build a side income stream from bug bounties or security research
    • Why:
      • I believe this is my path to financial independence, hacking on bug bounty programs seems to be a great path to supplement your income and eventually create a total new career path for yourself.

Lifestyle Related Goals

  • Lose weight and get a leaner build
    • Why:
      • I lost some weight before and a lot of  physical aliments that I had just went away. Although I do not feel that pain much anymore I still would like to accomplish a better healthier state for myself.
  • Get completely out of debt
    • Why:
      • I hate debt.
  • Become more fluent reader and speaker of Arabic
    • Why:
      • This is very much a spiritual goal for myself, I want to be able to pick up a book(mainly the Quran) in Arabic and just read it with ease.
  • Become more fluent in Farsi
    • Why:
      • Again this is a spiritual goal, which I feel will help me read texts that are not easily available in English.

Miscellaneous Goals but probably actually impossible:

  • Activate my Sharingan
  • Have my power level reach over 9000
  • Activate Ultra Instinct Mode
  • Master all 4 bending styles

Goals Accomplished:

  • 5/3/2020 : None accomplished yet but I will definitely update this page as I complete and link articles that describe the journey and my path to success.
